Refund policy

We want you to pay for AlderCV only if it helps you. If it did not, you can get your money back.

14-day refund

You can request a full refund within 14 days of any purchase (the 30-day pass, a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or an AI credit pack), no questions asked. The one condition: no more than 20 AI units used after that purchase. For yearly subscriptions you can also request a refund within 14 days of each renewal, on the same terms.

How AI units are counted

• For the 30-day pass and subscription payments: the units spent from your monthly AI allowance after that payment.
• For an AI credit pack: the units spent from your credit balance after you bought it.

Every use of the AI tools costs us real money, and what they produce (improved lines, cover letters, translations) stays with you. 20 units are enough to try the tools and see whether they work for you. You can see your units left in the AI tools tab of the app.

You accept these terms before you go to the checkout. Purchases made before we started asking for this keep the 14-day refund without conditions.

How to request a refund

1. Email support@aldercv.com from the address on your account.
2. Include the order number from your order confirmation if you have it.
3. We process requests within 2 business days. The money returns to your original payment method; banks usually need 5–10 business days to show it.

Payments are processed by Polar (Polar Software Inc.), our merchant of record, so refunds are issued through Polar. The tax you paid on the purchase is refunded with it.

After a refund

A refunded 30-day pass or subscription ends Pro as soon as the refund is processed, and a refunded AI credit pack takes its units back from your credit balance. Nothing is deleted: if you have more resumes than the free plan includes, the extra ones are locked until you upgrade again, and you choose which resume stays editable.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a subscription at any time on the Plans page in the app (Manage subscription). Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. The 30-day pass and AI credit packs never renew, so there is nothing to cancel.

Your statutory rights

This policy does not limit any rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
